Disney Boardwalk Inn Hotel Guide and Review

Disney World Boardwalk Inn Resort

With so much to do on the Disney Boardwalk, staying at the Disney Boardwalk Inn Hotel just seemed to make sense. Getting us within walking distance of Epcot and Hollywood Studios, this Boardwalk Area Resort offers up so many perks. From an array of restaurants, nighttime entertainment, an onsite coffee shop, and easy transportation here is everything to know about the Disney Boardwalk Inn at Walt Disney World.

If you’re considering staying at Disney’s Boardwalk Inn, know that it is a Disney Deluxe Resort! Meaning that this hotel is packed with amenities and conveniences to help make your Disney stay fantastic. Deluxe status also means that it has a lounge, restaurants and villas. It’s also home to the Innkeepers Club, the Disney World Club-Level Lounge at the resort.

Atmosphere

One of our favorite things about staying on property at a Disney Resort is that every resort is themed. And the Boardwalk Inn is no different. In classic Disney Boardwalk fashion, this resort is inspired by “turn of the century Atlantic City”. Complete with a carousel-themed pool bar, roller coaster-themed water slide, carnival games, and performers. You can find charming decorative touches throughout. The whole theme of the Boardwalk Inn will really take you to another time and place! We LOVE that it’s super laid back, easy going, and feels like you’re staying at a seaside resort back in the good ‘ol days.

Carousel Coffee at Disney Boardwalk Inn

In fact, adjacent to the lobby, that theme continues in the new coffee shop at Boardwalk Inn, Carousel Coffee. With a Mary Poppins feel, this little coffee shop offers specialty lattes, and grab and go foods. This space even includes a seating area with tables and gallery wall photos for those wanting to sit and stay awhile.

Disney Boardwalk Inn Location

Disney’s Boardwalk Inn is located at the Disney World Boardwalk near to Epcot and Hollywood Studios. In fact, did you know that the Disney Boardwalk has a walking path to Hollywood Studios? Yep. One of our absolute favorite perks of the Boardwalk Resorts is that staying here means you can walk to EPCOT or Hollywood Studios. Which makes these resorts the perfect places to stay when you’re hoping to get to the parks without the hassle!

While the boardwalk itself wraps the lake, guests can experience the restaurants, gift shops, lobbies and outdoor spaces of the neighboring resorts. Even the Fantasia Gardens Mini Golf Course is within walking distance of the BoardWalk Inn. A small front yard area is home to morning Yoga classes and Movies under the Stars in the evenings.

Disney Boardwalk Inn Standard Room with Garden View Balcony

Rooms

The Boardwalk Inn overlooks the Boardwalk and the waterway behind the Boardwalk. But of course, there are also inner rooms with courtyard garden views. So really no bad views here. Just lots of lovely options. We chose to stay in a Garden View room.

Boardwalk Inn Resort 2 Queen Beds Standard Room

Equipped with 2 queen size beds and a pull-out day bed, this was actually the most spacious room we’ve ever stayed at in Walt Disney World. We recommend choosing size over location if given the option and you’re hoping for a larger room. Other rooms at this Resort include the Disney Vacation Club Villas.

Boardwalk Inn Hotel Bathroom

Disney Boardwalk Inn Bathrooms

The vanity area is spacious, with double sinks and a long mirror. Complete with some of our favorite H20 products, which is always nice when the three of us are traveling together. And the shower came fully stocked with built-in H20 shampoo, conditioner and body wash to reduce waste.

Disney Boardwalk Inn Room Perks

The room also comes with a mini fridge and a mini coffee maker (hallelujah!!). Which is also much appreciated since we are generally running on no sleep during our Disney trips. We loved having a balcony overlooking the garden area, which was just so peaceful and was really nice when we were taking some time away from the heat of the Parks. There was even a fountain right outside that allowed for daydreaming about waterfalls while lounging on the balcony.

Disney Restaurants Abracadabar

Restaurants

There is a plethora of dining options here located outside of the resort. Inside you’ll find a small bar, Belle Vue Lounge, as well as the Coffee Shop, Carousel Shop. And there is a Refillable Mug station at the Disney Boardwalk Deli, just outside the resort.

Belle Vue Lounge

So where can you get a drink at Boardwalk Inn? For an evening in, you can head to the Belle Vue Lounge. This is the Disney Boardwalk Inn Lounge, and offers up old-time seating, radio music and drinks. As well as the communal television, chess games, books and board games too.

Disney Restaurants Boardwalk Deli

Boardwalk Deli

To refill your resort mug with anything other than coffee or cocoa and for more breakfast options, you’ll have to head down to the Boardwalk Deli which also has some of the most amazing cupcakes you’ll find on the property. You can also grab deli sandwiches here of all kinds, even plant-based options, honoring the Northeastern states deli traditions.

Breakfast Pizza at Trattoria al Forno

Trattoria al Forno

Trattoria al Forno is a top restaurant pick for us at the Boardwalk. We absolutely LOVE the breakfast here. And they simply have the best avocado toast, breakfast pizza and iced coffee. To grab breakfast here simply walk up and see if they have dining tables available. Serving up authentic Italian and wood fired pizzas, lunch and dinner here are pretty great too!

Pizza Window at Disney Boardwalk Inn

Disney Boardwalk Pizza Window

By far one of the best places to get Pizza at Disney World, this pizza window is a made to order pizza spot. Offering pepperoni, Margherita and cheese pizzas, as well as side salads, sandwiches and drinks.

Boardwalk Ice Cream

No seaside vacation on the Boardwalk would be complete with ice cream. In waffle cones, bowls, milkshakes, and sometimes accompanied by a brownie, you can grab traditional and specialty flavors here. Perfect for a stroll on the Disney Boardwalk. If you’re not looking for the biggest ice cream treat on the block ( over at Beaches and Cream) we think this place hits the spot on any hot Florida day.

Flying fish Restaurant at Disney's Boardwalk

Flying Fish Restaurant

This signature Restaurant on the Disney Boardwalk takes 2 dining credits if you’re on the Disney dining plan, and offers a seafood focused menu. Snapper, Salmon, and Scallops are on the menu, as well as steak, chicken and tofu. So while there is a bit of a variety here, at more than $50 a plate for some dishes, be sure to check out the Flying Fish Menu before you go.

Map

The layout of the Boardwalk Inn can be pretty confusing. Just remember that one side is the Villas, and the other side is regular hotel rooms. While the pools are available to all, they may be a bit of a hike from where you’re staying.
