What is Quick Service at Walt Disney World?
A quick-service restaurant at Walt Disney World is just like it sounds! It’s a counter-service restaurant that gets you food quickly. No need to fuss with dining reservations. And great for families who don’t want to spend a ton of time sitting down to eat. Quick-service restaurants at Walt Disney World do come with a few drawbacks though. Some of them don’t have ample seating, and many don’t have seating inside air-conditioned buildings.
And along with that, the food is generally lower quality than most table service restaurants. But if you’re traveling on a budget, or just don’t have the time for a full sit-down meal, quick-service restaurants are the way to go. Woody’s Lunchbox | Toy Story Land
A favorite Hollywood Studios Quick Service Restaurant we just love is Woody’s Lunchbox. Serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner, there are plenty of family-friendly options here. Located in Toy Story Land, this quick-service restaurant brings fun menu items to Hollywood Studios. With items like grilled cheese and tomato soup, lunch box tarts, and the fan favorite totchos, it’s no surprise that this is one of the most popular quick service restaurants at Hollywood Studios.
But there is a catch to this fun spot. Seating is super limited. It is completely outside and most of it is not shaded. Although we would love to see this changed in the future, Toy Story Land is already quite crowded and there’s not really any room to expand this area. So if you do plan to eat here, be sure to pack your patience. ABC Commissary | Commissary Lane
With burgers, tacos, and salads, ABC Commissary is a staple for a lot of Walt Disney World guests. A step above basic options, without being too adventurous, this is a popular spot. In fact, many people ask if ABC Commissary at Hollywood Studios is worth it. And we’d say yes, if they have something on the menu you like. Typically burgers, fries, and salads are the main dishes here, and they tend to change their menu pretty frequently. But one thing you can count on is air-conditioned seating.
We highly recommend you mobile order at this location, because it can get very busy. And sometimes they will even limit how many people they allow to order at a time. Getting your mobile order in means no waiting in lines and getting your food a whole lot sooner (most of the time). They’re also a great stop for seasonal snacks at Walt Disney World. Ronto Roasters | Galaxy’s Edge
Offering some of the best quick service in Hollywood Studios, simply because this portable street food has luscious flavors you won’t get elsewhere, Ronto Roasters is a great pick for all breakfast, lunch and dinner. Located in Galaxy’s Edge, Ronto Roasters is one of the few places in Hollywood Studios where you can get breakfast. The menu is actually quite limited, but it still tends to be one we gravitate towards when we are looking for something quick. For breakfast, you can enjoy a Ronto Morning Wrap with sausage eggs, and cheese, or a plant-based version of the same.
This is located right next to Kat Saka’s Kettle, so you can easily grab a Cocoa Puff Cold Brew Black Caf to add to your meal. Breakfast options are available all day. The standard Ronto wrap features sausage with a tangy slaw in a pita wrap and offers a plant-based alternative as well. Seating can be a little difficult to find here. Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo | Galaxy’s Edge
One of the more expensive quick service restaurants at Hollywood Studios, Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo also have the most interesting selection of cuisine. Themed to a hangar bay, Docking Bay 7 offers “exotic” meals like Poke, Stir Fry, and ribs along with Kefta and hummus for those who are plant-based. Frankly, it’s some of the best food in the park. Backlot Express | Echo Lake
Backlot Express is the perfect place to stop if you just need something simple or are traveling ti Disney World with picky eaters. With selections like chicken tenders, burgers, and salads the food is not that exciting, but the quality is pretty good for standard theme park fare. There is also plenty of indoor seating, as well as outdoor seating. And they usually have a fun selection of Star Wars-themed goodies, like the Wookie Cookie.
