The Boathouse at Disney Springs Restaurant Review

Boathouse blue drink

Located in Disney Springs The Boathouse is a casual yet upscale waterfront dining experience. Known as one of the best restaurants in Orlando for seafood, cocktails, and desserts, you can settle in laze the day away on the water. Featuring a bar, multiple dining rooms, a gift shop and Amphicar, here is everything to know about this restaurant.

  • Dinner: 4:00 PM – 11:00 PM
  • Brunch: 10 AM-12PM Saturdays and Sundays

The Boathouse Location

Located in Disney Springs, head to The Landing, near Raglan Road. The closest Parking garage to The Boathouse is the Lime Garage. So if you’re driving to Disney Springs specifically for The Boathouse, this will be the most convenient place to park.

The Boathouse Reservations

While you don’t need a reservation for The Boathouse at Disney Springs, if you want a guaranteed seat without a wait, then reservations are highly recommended. They do have walk-up seating available, but during busier times like Spring Break, or on the weekends, those walk-up spots fill up quickly and you can expect a bit of a wait for a table.

One thing that many people don’t realize about making reservations at The Boathouse is that you’ll generally have better luck making the reservation directly on their website, rather than Disney’s site. As long as your party is less than 6 people, this is an option we highly recommend you take advantage of.

The Boathouse only portions out a small number of reservations to be made on Disney’s website, and the rest are saved for the website. You can make reservations directly on The Boathouse website here

Oyster Bar Boathouse

The Boathouse Disney Springs Atmosphere

Featuring a relaxed atmosphere, The Boathouse has a nautical theme throughout. Some tables are even boats! This restaurant can even be considered its own destination in a way. A small shop is attached, with plenty of “touristy” souvenir-type items and the Amphicar Water ride.

The Boathouse also houses the largest collection of Dream Boats from the 30s, 40s, and 50s. Be sure to see these Floating Works of Art on your visit.

Boathouse fish Tacos

The Boathouse Disney Springs Menu

The menu at The Boathouse is pretty vast. HUGE, in fact. They have salads, a wide variety of seafood including shrimp and lobster, burgers, steaks, desserts, and lots of drinks. We are huge fans of the Truffle Fries. They also have a full kid’s menu. And an impressive list of alcoholic beverages including craft beers, wines, plenty of signature cocktails, and even After Dinner Dessert drinks. Check out the full menu for The Boathouse here

Grilled Mahi Tacos

Easily one of our favorite things to eat, it was no surprise that tacos was an easy choice for us. These fish tacos include Mahi, Al Pastor Marinade, Chili Garlic Purée, Pineapple Pico, Salsa Romesco, and Tortilla Chips. An excellent portion size, we got this for $24. And while these were good, there are other places around Disney Springs that serve up tacos at a cheaper cost, that area also just as good. So it’s your call.

Boathouse Truffle Fries

Truffle Fries

These Boathouse Truffle Fries come with a lemon aioli that is simply divine. While this is just a $10 side dish at the Boathouse, we think it’s perfect to share, and a much better value than the truffle fries over at Enchanted Rose at the Grand Floridian Resort.

Roasted Jumbo Sweet Potato

Since finding Vegan and Vegetarian Food at Disney World is sometimes a challenge, we chose this Sweet Potato with Cinnamon Butter as a way to add some nutrients to a menu with few vegetarian options.

Food at the Boathouse Disney Springs

Roasted Cauliflower Steak

This vegetarian dish is over $20, for cauliflower, which is troubling to say the least, though expected. However, if you’re meatless, a large roasted cauliflower steak may be the best you can hope for, as The Boathouse didn’t really have any bean, legume, or pasta dishes without fish or meat. This Roasted cauliflower comes with Oyster Mushroom, Cauliflower Purée, and Marcona Almond Gremolata.

S’mores Baked Alaska

For a showstopper dessert, this Baked Alaska is a great choice for a group. At $55 you may have a little sticker shock, but it truly is a unique dessert experience. The S’mores Baked Alaska includes Graham Cracker Crust, Rocky Road Ice Cream, Toasted Marshmallows & Meringue, Milk Chocolate. Serves 4.

Duck Duck Razz

THE blue drink at The Boathouse, with rubber duck floating in it, is the Duck Duck Razz. At $17 this drink includes Skyy Raspberry Vodka, Blue Curacao, Lemon Juice, and Simple Syrup. Pretty and simple, you can easily sip this one alongside your meal. All cocktails here are around the $15- $20 range.

Boathouse Gift Shop

The Boathouse Disney Springs Cost

As a Disney Restaurant, we found the prices to be expected. While you can definitely skew more expensive with things like the Maine Lobster Tail at $65, we were happy with the Grilled Mahi Tacos for $24. The prices are reasonable, and depending on what you like, you can easily get a good meal for less than $30 here.

Of course if you’re adding alcohol to your meal, there are a variety of options for beer, wine and cocktails. Signature drinks at the Boathouse are in the $15-$20 per glass range.

The Boathouse Discounts

As a Disney World Restaurant, The Boathouse does offer a few discounts. Counting as 2 Dining Credits on the Disney Dining Plan, this Disney Signature Restaurant offers a 15% WDW Annual Passholder discount for Lunch, and 10% Off for Dinner.

Boathouse Amphicar

The Boathouse Disney Springs Amphicar

Take a ride around Lake Buena Vista in an Amphicar at The Boathouse! The Amphicar experience is definitely a unique one! These funny little cars seat 3-4 people, along with the driver of the vehicle, and they can go from land to water, just like that! A 25-minute captain-guided boat ride around the lake will cost you around $125. And if you eat at The Boathouse beforehand, you can save an extra $20.

The Boathouse Disney Springs Review

The Boathouse is one of the most popular Disney Springs restaurants for good reason. The ambiance is relaxed, the food is high quality, and the service is the same that you can expect from most Disney restaurants. Although there are many more items we’d like to try on this menu, everything we’ve had here has been good. If you’re a fan of fish tacos, those are pretty great, and we highly recommend them.

Overall, we really enjoyed The Boathouse. Its popularity is well deserved, and we plan to eat here again when the opportunity arises.
