So, we’ve written before about Hollywood Studios.  From the Best Hollywood Studios Restaurants to iconic shows worth taking the time for and the Best Hollywood Studios Snacks you may find yourself visiting this park more than once during your vacation.

Rise of the Resistance

What Should I Not Miss at Hollywood Studios?

Be sure to check out our Hollywood Studios Bucket List so you can be sure not to miss a thing, and our Best Days to Visit Which Disney Park post for our top days to avoid crowds. Ok, in no particular order, here are the things we most love about Hollywood Studios and why. If you’re looking to smash your experience into one day at this park, here are the things that most deserve your time.

Ride Star Wars Rise of The Resistance

Found in Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge, Rise of the Resistance is a larger-than-life ride combining a pre-show experience with a trackless dark ride featuring all your favorite Star Wars characters as you join the rebels and try to outrun the First Order. This is Lightning Lane Pass worthy and a longer ride with a pre-show, so head to Galaxy’s Edge and make the time for it!

Toy Story Land Woody's Lunch Box

Grab Food at Woody’s Lunch Box

We love Woody’s Lunch Box for a hearty breakfast that is budget-friendly. Or you can grab one of those delicious homemade lunch box tarts, offered in different flavor combinations seasonally. And if you’re stuck on what to have for lunch, the grilled cheese and tomato soup here always hits the spot. Check out our full review of Woody’s Lunch Box in Toy Story Land.

mickey and minnie's runaway railway

Ride Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway

Hollywood Studios’ newest ride is the first to feature Mickey and Minnie! This 2-D ride features sounds from the original Steamboat Willie whistle and all our favorite scenes and songs from the newest Emmy-award-winning Mickey Mouse shorts.

Watch For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-A-Long

Think you’ve heard “Let it Go” one too many times? Think again. This Frozen show features live performances and offers a nice respite from the Florida weather. A slapstick comedy at its best, and a re-telling of your favorite story by people who know how to tell it. This Disney show experience gets a Holiday overlay too, so if you’re visiting during Christmas, be sure to stop by!

Take a Ride on Star Tours: The Adventures Continue

This classic Star Wars ride now features multiple storylines, so you never know what’s going to happen each time you ride. And dare we say, we like it better than Smugglers Run. We love this as a family-friendly Star Wars experience. As a passenger on a runaway star ship you may get spotted as the spy. Either way you’re helping the droids as they outrun the First Order.

slinky dog dash at hollywood studios

Ride Slinky the Dog Rollercoaster

Everyone will try to rope drop Slinky Dog Dash. So why not try for a nighttime ride instead. With stringed lights all over Toy Story Land, you can count on amazing views at night and this coaster literally lights up in the darkness. Lines will still be a little long but usually get shorter after 8 pm. And if you’re hanging out waiting for lower crowds, head to Toy Story Mania, one of our favorite rides in Toy Story Land.

Ride the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror

The most iconic ride, the Tower of Terror hails from Twilight Zone fame, and gives you the feeling of passing into “another dimension.” This Hollywood Tower Hotel tells the story of a group of people that disappeared when the elevator was struck by lightning in 1939. Thus begins you’re journey through tapestried halls from the bygone glamorous Hollywood era. Even if you don’t love the feeling of being dropped in an elevator, the storyline for this classic attraction is worth the visit. And we love the Hollywood Tower Hotel merchandise too, so be sure to check out this gift shop. And the specialty coffees at the Joffrey’s stand nearby are worth the stop.

See the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular! Show

Featuring stunt actors, this experience shows you what it’s really like on the set of a big movie. Complete with explosions, fight scenes, and more! We love that this experience pulls in guests from the crowd, and offers a little respite from the Florida heat. Plan for about 20 minutes to settle in the bleachers and learn a thing or two about movie making.

Watch MuppetVision 3-D ( Closes June 7, 2025)

The new Monstropolis area will be taking over Muppets Courtyard, so you only have a little while left in 2024 to see this attraction. This show features all the Muppets antics as they try to put on a show complete with big musical numbers. But things go awry when the the spirit of 3-D escapes. Puppets in the theater add another layer to this onscreen show. And we love this one for hot afternoons in Florida. Plan about 20 minutes for the show.

Snack on a Num Num Cookie

Head to the Market near the entrance of Toy Story Land to grab one of Jack’s Num Num cookies. These shareable pan cookies are gooey and perfect for chocolate chip cookie decadence anytime of day. As of the best snacks at Hollywood Studios, this is one treat that you must try when you visit.
